Spider Web Challenge

All you need is some tape and streamers to set the scene for this creepy-crawly game. Stretch the streamers across a hallway, crisscrossing them at different heights to create your own tangled spider web. Then, send the kids crawling, ducking, and tiptoeing their way through without touching the “silken threads.”

Make it as easy or tricky as you like—add more streamers for a stickier web or space them out for little ones. To raise the stakes, time each contestant or make them start over if they bump into the web.

Junk in the Trunk

Grab some ping pong balls, an empty tissue box, and a belt or string. Cut slits in the tissue box and thread the belt or string through, then fasten it around the player’s waist with the box at their back. Fill the box with as many ping pong balls as it will hold.

When the one-minute timer starts, players must shake, jump, and wiggle to get as many ping pong balls out of the box as possible. It’s hilarious to watch—and even funnier to play!

Pumpkin Toss

Line up 3–5 pumpkin buckets in a row, then mark a spot for players to stand behind. Give each player 60 seconds to try to toss a ping pong ball into every bucket. For an extra spooky twist, use eyeball ping pong balls!

When you are finished using the pumpkin buckets for games, you can use them to trick-or-treat, or hang them in a tree with battery powered tea lights.

Ghost Keepy Uppy

This game is all about keeping the ghost afloat! All you need are white balloons and a permanent marker. Draw a ghostly face on each balloon, or let the kids design their own spooky spirits.

Then, let the haunting begin! The goal is simple: keep the balloon from touching the ground. Play all together and see who can last the longest, or take turns with a one-minute timer to keep your ghost flying high. It’s easy to set up, full of giggles, and just the right amount of spooky.

When the family is tired from all the speedy and spooky games, sit down and enjoy a family movie night with these family friendly Halloween movies!
