Soft Pretzels

Ingredients:
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet active dry yeast (2¼ teaspoons)
1 tablespoon sugar
1½ cups warm water
2 teaspoons salt
⅓ cup baking soda (for boiling)
Coarse sea salt (for sprinkling)
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow to sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Mix in flour and salt until fully combined. Knead on a floured surface for approximately 5 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 450°F. Divide the dough into eight pieces and shape each into a pretzel.
Boil water in a large pot; add baking soda. Boil each pretzel for 30 seconds before transferring them to lined baking sheets.
Sprinkle with coarse sea salt and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
