Room to Breathe this Year

Ahh, a new year, a fresh start… but somehow the same old mess.
Here is to decluttering and giving ourselves room to breathe. You do not need to become a minimalist, but clearing out the excess is one of the easiest ways to lower stress and make your home feel peaceful again.
Clutter is loud. Even when we sit and rest, our eyes land on piles that need attention and our brain keeps working. A tidy space makes it easier to think, relax, and enjoy being home.
I have decluttered many times, and somehow there is always more. Kids, life, seasons… it happens. But each time it gets easier. Cleaning goes faster. Resetting a room takes minutes instead of hours, because everything has a place.
Truly, the biggest and quickest win is to throw things away when no one is looking. If it is junky or pointless or has been untouched for months, and I know the kids will not notice it is gone, it disappears into the trash. Buried carefully so there is no evidence.
The secret is to start small.
Trash first. Then a drawer, a shelf, a cabinet. One little win builds momentum, and momentum is everything.
Here is the guide I will be following to begin the year with more space, more calm, and more breath. Lets do this together, one small step at a time.
